TFD Consulting Engineer e.U. was founded in 2015 and was listed in the Austrian contractor register (company code 81648) as a qualified company in accordance with BVerGG 2006 and ÖNorm A 2050.

TFD moved to a new office, gave presentations at the 8th International Conference TUNNEL SAFETY AND VENTILATION and the international fire protection conference in Stuttgart. It also received the Young Entrepreneur Prize of the Year award in the “Creative Services” category from the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce on November 24th, 2016.

TFD acquired the ventilation planning contract to plan the U5 and U2 extension involving a total of 10 stations for Vienna Metro. Additionally, a concept study for a road tunnel under the Suez Canal (Egypt) was successfully completed.

In 2017, TFD gave a presentation on ventilation control in the Liefering Tunnel and Dipl.-HTL-Ing. Bernhard Höpperger was appointed by the Chamber of Commerce as an expert on the certification committee for the InGG 2017.

TFD acquired its first contracts for the planning of road tunnels in Poland and Sweden. TFD was also  commissioned with the ventilation part of the tunnel simulator for the Engelberg Tunnel in Germany.

TFD Consulting Engineer e.U. has been relocated to Carinthia.

The company also acquired its first planning contracts for road tunnel projects in India and Italy.

TFD acquired further planning contracts for road tunnels in India and Poland, as well as initial contracts in Slovakia.

TFD is part of the tunnel ventilation planning group for the major A26 stage 2 project in Linz - project volume of more than 1.2 billion EUR

TFD acquired first planning contracts in Afghanistan. The company received an order for two road tunnels, each approximately 14 km long, in India.

TFD Consulting Engineer e.U. installed a photovoltaic system at the office location and became  CO2 neutral in terms of energy technology.

TFD was part of the tunnel ventilation planning group for the renovation of the Steinhaus and Noitzmühle tunnels on the A8 in Austria.

TFD acquired initial planning contracts in Armenia, Switzerland, Jordan and Slovenia. At the Roppener Tunnel on the A12, meteorological measurement series were carried out over a period of one year, and the measurement data were loaded into a cloud web based solution. Additionally, TFD  carried out flow and smoke tests for the ÖBB Koralmbahn access line in the Granitztal railwaytunnel.

TFD Consulting Engineer e.U. acquired its 100th project.

TFD carried out flow and fire tests in the Hirschhagen tunnel in Germany. It is considered the second-longest road tunnel in Germany after the Rennsteig tunnel.
The contract for another major project in Armenia involving the rehabilitation of two road tunnels was signed.

TFD signed contract for two more road tunnels in India. In addition to tunnel ventilation, high-pressure fog systems were planned. In the Engelberg Tunnel, a gas fire test with 5 MW was carried out for the first time. TFD invested more than €70,000 in a new test facility and measurement equipment. Smoke was generated with a smoke fluid that is harmless to health.
